Pont-du-Gard

Standing for two millenia, built to carry fresh water 50 km to Nimes by the Romans, with an average slope of 24 cm/km, the aqueduct flies over the steep valley of the Gardon, at Pont-du-Gard. We hiked around it during a short pause in our drive to Albi.... Location : Pont-du-Gard, France
