There's one of a wave crashing into the strip of shops across the road from the beach in Patong. I don't think it's the main one, but still, it just slowly pushes up the streets, sweeping everything before it. When they show it preceded by images of people sunbathing on the same beach, even if you can't see it actually hit the sand, it's more than scary, it just makes you feel sick. They're saying most of the dead were on the beach, and are farang. I'd take that with a grain of salt, as there is only one reported french death, but still.
