Flowers eh eh...

I sent Ivonne's mom a floral arrangement for Xmas, and I sneaked in some roses for Ivonne. Ivonne's mom was happily surprised about the flowers, and wanted to keep them a surprise for Ivonne as well. So when Ivonne called to know if the arrangement had arrived (without asking outright to not spoil the surprise), her mom didn't mention the flowers. At the third call, ivonne just asked her sister, who said they'd arrived, but didn't mention the roses. So Ivonne was wondering why her mom never mentioned them.
