I'm actually a half-thai born in Singapore. Really glad that you're helping out in thailand.. You can say that's my 2nd homeland too. This tragedy has really shocked everyone of us.. I'm the guy running the blog, but the guy who's in Phuket is my brother Greg, who's an english teacher there. I've put him in copy of this email so he can read your message.
I talked to him this evening (your time) on MSN Messenger, and he was saying that it was already much better in Patong.
From what I gather from the news here in France, the worst is in Khao Lak, with hundreds still missing.
In any case, thanks for your message, and i hope no-one you know has been hurt.
